Fans are available in various designs and versions.
Depending on air flow rate or pressure difference, centrifugal fans, axial fans, diagonal fans or cross-flows fans are used for industrial applications. The wear on the impeller may be particularly significant if fine abrasive substances (e.g. aluminium hydroxide or aluminium dioxide) are carried along in the air flow.
KRAUSKOPF supplies complete fan housings with motorized stage and wear protection lining as well as impellers with corresponding armouring.

The motorized stage is usually made of mild steel.
The fan housings are made of wear-resistant steel and lined with composite armour plates. These can be replaced individually as they become worn.

The fan impellers can be designed with armoured blades. A ceramic coating is also possible to increase the service life.
